Initial Situation

  • The maintenance of the SAP organization management is typically organized very centrally.
    As a rule, the sovereignty lies with a few people in the Human Resources department. Especially with more intense
    usage, this is of crucial importance for the data quality. However are
    the 'pre-processes' that lead to a change in SAP OM are incomplete or not at all
    SAP HCM mapped.
  • This post will provide an example scenario for requesting new
    Positions shown and how it was implemented by LM Consulting.

Application / Scenario

  • The application forms the application process for new positions within SAP
    HCM off. In addition to clearly defined groups, individuals are involved in the process

Implementation

  • The implementation is technically based on SAP Webdynpro for ABAP.
  • In order to be able to design the process flexibly, SAP was deliberately used
    Workflows omitted. Instead, each group has its own application, the
    based on the status data selected and subsequent steps defined. This makes it easier to
    one to implement and expand group-specific functions and the other
    involve new groups in the process in the future.
  • The application is made available to users via the SAP portal or the Nwbc for
