SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting – manual application entry of external candidates

The manual application entry for external candidates in SuccessFactors Recruiting no actual application. After the recruiter has entered the candidate for a job posting in SuccessFactors, the candidate is forwarded to the job posting. The candidate then receives an e-mail asking them to register and complete the process – i.e. to apply. Only through this step is an application created in SuccessFactors Recruiting.

In this form, the process is too complex and time-consuming for some customers.
The extension of LM Consulting simplifies the process and is available in two variants.

Variant 1: External application entry with confirmation of the data protection declaration

In this variant, after the recruiter has entered the application, the candidate receives an automated e-mail from SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting with a link to the company's data protection declaration for applicants. By confirming the data protection declaration, an application is created in SuccessFactors Recruiting. It is not necessary for the candidate to register in SuccessFactors. In the further course of the application, it is not absolutely necessary for the candidate to register, since communication with the candidate can take place by e-mail or telephone.

Variant 2: External application entry without confirmation of the data protection declaration

In this variant, all manually entered external candidates are periodically created as applications in SuccessFactors Recruiting. The information is set in SuccessFactors that the candidates have accepted the data protection declaration. It is therefore organizationally necessary to ensure that the applicants have received and accepted the data protection declaration.

technical realization

The LM Consulting extension is based on the OData APIs provided by SAP SuccessFactors and a SAP Netweaver Gateway system coupled with SAP SuccessFactors.

Variant 1

The link to the data protection declaration on the company's own career page contains the SuccessFactors Recruiting Candidate and RequisitionID as parameters. By confirming the data protection declaration, which the candidate clicks on, an OData service is called in SAP Netweaver Gateway, which in turn uses a SAP SuccessFactors OData service to create the application.

Variant 2

A periodic job reads all forwardings of manually entered, external candidates and creates an application in SAP SuccessFactors for each.
